FCA Mortgage Conference – 7 September 2015

We are hosting our Mortgage Conference on 7 September 2015 at the QEII Centre, London. Our conference will open the debate on three key topics: affordable housing, the ageing population and over-indebtedness.

The UK mortgage market faces a range of challenges to meet the future needs of consumers. Regulation is one part of a complex mortgage landscape; the challenges we face require a multi-faceted response from industry, Government and regulatory bodies.

With a focus on affordable housing, the ageing population and over-indebtedness, we will explore their impact on the future of the mortgage market. By considering these complex issues, we aim to begin identifying how all market participants and consumers can respond to the challenges they pose.

The conference will be facilitated by Simon Jack, Business and Economics presenter on Radio 4’s Today programme.

There will be keynote speeches from Christopher Woolard, our Director of Strategy and Competition, and Linda Woodall, our Acting Director of Supervision, Retail and Authorisations, along with panel debates and interactive sessions featuring industry, academic and FCA experts.

The event is open to an audience of senior managers and senior compliance staff from regulated firms.
