On this page we outline the plan for industry tests of FCA FITRS (Financial Instrument Transparency System) which will run from 5 October until December 2020.
Update: 31 January 2020
The UK has left the EU. It has now entered a transition period[1] which is due to operate until 31 December 2020.
During this time EU law will continue to apply and firms and funds will continue to benefit from passporting between the UK and EEA. Consumer rights and protections derived from EU law will also remain in place.
All MiFID systems will remain connected to ESMA during the transition period. Our new Financial Instruments Reference Data System (FCA FIRDS) will continue to publish in parallel to ESMA’s systems, but should only be used by firms for testing purposes. The FCA’s version of ESMA’s Financial Instruments Transparency Reference System (FCA FITRS) will be suspended until further notice (we will resume FCA FITRS as appropriate closer to the end of the transition period).
Please refer to our technical guide[2] which explains how to access and download full and delta files in the FCA FITRS system. We have also published a Market Interface Specification Addendum which explains changes to the Market Data Processor (MDP) and our interfaces with ESMA systems.
