We are asking regulated firms that hold the credit broking permission to complete a short survey to update the information we hold on how they are using this permission.
Thank you for participating in our voluntary survey on how firms are using their credit broking permission. The survey has now closed and no further action is required by firms at this time.
Around 300 firms with the credit broking permission took part in a pilot survey during May and June 2021. The survey will be sent to all remaining firms with this permission in July. Firms will have 15 working days to submit their responses.
The survey has been designed to be quick and simple to complete. 95% of firms in the pilot completed it within 30 minutes.
The survey will give us an updated view of how firms are using the credit broking permission. We will use the data provided, alongside existing data, to support our ongoing work to mitigate risks of harm to consumers.
Whilst we are not seeking this information under our formal information gathering powers, we expect firms to complete it. Firms are required under Principle 11[1] to deal with their regulators in an open and cooperative way. Where firms do not complete the survey, we may contact them to understand the reasons for this.
If you have any questions, please see our survey FAQs[2]. If you are still unsure, you can also contact our Supervision Hub[3] or email us at [email protected].
We know firms will be concerned about phishing emails and scams. When you receive the survey, please check it is from either [email protected] or [email protected].
