Christopher Woolard, FCA Executive Director for Strategy and Competition, has today spoken at the 2019 Innovate Finance Global Summit on the impact of the FCA’s work to promote innovation in the interests of consumers and our commitment to take this work further. Read Christopher's speech[1].
We have also published a number of announcements and documents that show the impact that our work has had, and set out how we are taking this work further:
- We have published an evaluation report assessing the effectiveness of our Innovate services[2] in enabling innovation in the interests of consumers – Innovate has now supported nearly 700 firms and has received requests for help at the rate of nearly one a day
- We have announced the next steps for the Global Financial Innovation Network (GFIN) cross-border testing pilot[3] – including the firms that the FCA will work with to develop tests
- We have announced the first cohort of firms taking part in our Green Fintech Challenge[4], which we will support in developing innovative solutions to assist in the UK’s transition to a greener economy
- We have announced the fifth cohort of firms to take part in our regulatory sandbox[5].
