From 2 April we will be asking firms to register for our new data collection platform the next time they log into Gabriel. The new platform will require the same login details that firms use for Connect.
Our new data collection platform will replace Gabriel and improve how we collect data from firms.
From 2 April, when next logging into Gabriel users will be taken through a series of mandatory steps to register for the new platform. Users will be asked to confirm their existing Connect login details, or asked to create a Connect account if they don't already have one.
After completing this one-time registration process, firms will continue to use Gabriel with their existing Gabriel login details until we move them onto the new data collection platform. We will notify firms in good time in advance of their moving date.
Once a firm has been moved to the new platform, they will log in using the same details as they do for Connect.
This registration activity will not change the way firms and other Gabriel users access or use Connect. Users may have already created a Connect account as part of the firms' details attestation activity[1].
We have published guidance on how to register for the new data collection platform[2], including a user guide and explainer video.
We understand this is a difficult time for firms dealing with the impact of coronavirus (covid-19)[3]. The registration process is a simple but key step as we prepare to move to our new data collection platform.
