We have taken action against the authorised firm, Sentor Solutions Commercial Ltd, to prevent it carrying out any regulated activities without our prior written consent. This consumer warning explains the steps that we have taken to protect consumers and where you can go for advice if you are concerned about any investments made in Texmoore Limited, Fabcourt Developments Limited or interactions with Sentor Solutions. Any investments in Texmoore Limited and Fabcourt Developments Limited who Sentor Solutions undertook business for may not be protected under FSCS compensation schemes.
Sentor Solutions’ involvement with Texmoore and Fabcourt
We understand that Sentor Solutions Commercial Ltd and/or a related firm owned by its director called Sentor Solutions Advisory Limited acted as security trustees and undertook other business for Texmoore and Fabcourt. While Sentor Solutions Commercial is an authorised firm with credit broking permissions and Sentor Solutions advisory was previously an appointed representative, neither of these firms are, or have been, permitted by the Authority to provide regulated investment activities.
The role of a security trustee is to hold a charge over certain of the debtor’s assets for several creditors, with the purpose of distributing the assets evenly among the creditors, should the debtor fail to meet their financial obligations. Having a security trustee does not create a financial guarantee for the investors. Being a security trustee does not require FCA Authorisation.
The Sentor Solutions firms also introduced consumers to Texmoore and Fabcourt, who appear to have been promoting high-risk investments in property development. Neither Texmoore nor Fabcourt have ever been permitted by us to provide regulated investment services. We have issued consumer warnings for Texmoore Limited[1] and Fabcourt Developments[2] previously due to the significant risks to consumers associated with the potential lack of regulatory protection.
Sentor Solutions Commercial Ltd failed to pay due regard to the interests of its customers and treat them fairly. It is for this reason that we have imposed requirements on the Firm.
Are investments promoted by Sentor Solutions Commercial Ltd FSCS protected?
It is important to remember that engaging with an authorised firm does not guarantee access to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)[3] or the Financial Ombudsman Service[4] if things go wrong. Whether you can access these services may also depend on whether you have received any regulated services (such as investment advice) in connection with your investment.
The FSCS cannot accept claims that are for poor investment performance.
You can contact the Financial Ombudsman Service or FSCS to see if your investments are protected, and whether you may have a claim if things were to go wrong.
If you are approached to make further payments in order to release an initial investment, you should seek independent advice before making a payment.
