Ten individuals have been cold-shouldered after a ruling from the Hearings Committee of the Takeover Panel.
On 30 July 2024, the Takeover Panel's Panel Executive published Statement 2024/17(PDF)[1]. This summarised the outcome of proceedings before the Hearings Committee of the Takeover Panel and the Takeover Appeal Board in relation to MWB Group Holdings plc.
The Statement included, among other matters, the 'cold-shouldering' of Mr Richard Balfour-Lynn, Mr Jagtar Singh, Mr Richard Aspland-Robinson, Mr Julian Treger and 6 other individuals.
Under MAR 4.3.2G[2], if a person is named in a ruling of the Hearings Committee as being a person who has been 'cold-shouldered', we expect firms to comply with MAR4.3.1R by not acting or continuing to act for that person.
We also expect regulated firms to inform all approved persons at their firms that they should not deal with these individuals on any transactions to which the Takeover Code applies.
