On 19 January we consulted on our proposed guidance on voluntary redress schemes under the Competition Act 1998. We have now published our finalised guidance, which explains how we will exercise our powers to approve and enforce redress schemes under CA98.
Our consultation[1] closed on 15 February. We received no responses. This finalised guidance is issued pursuant to section 49C CA98 and covers:
- applications for approval of redress schemes
- the approval of redress schemes, and
- the enforcement of approved schemes, in particular the criteria we intend to adopt in deciding whether to enforce approved redress schemes.
