Obtaining a data extract from the Financial Services Register

We can provide either an extract of just the firms’ data, or firms’ and individuals’ data (this is an enhanced service with an additional fee). The Register Extract Service (RES) is a subset of data from the FS Register.

This service forms part of our guide to the information publication scheme.

The data can be ordered as follows:

• weekly or monthly subscription
• a single, one-off copy

The RES can be provided via the web as a download/search facility (from our distribution partner Spectrum Data Management).

Charges

The download service carries two annual charges - one for SDM and one for the FCA (listed below). SDM charges £1,814.40 for weekly and £1,128.33 for monthly downloads. Data on individuals carries an additional charge of £226.80.

For example, ordering the FCA firms’ data for compliance purposes on a weekly basis would incur a total cost of £4,413.40: £1,814.40 payable to SDM and £2,599 payable to the FCA.

When purchasing a one-off data download, there are also two charges. In addition to the FCA fee (listed below), SDM charge a fixed fee of £100 which applies equally to both the firms' data or firms' and individuals' data downloads.

For example, ordering a one-off data download of the FCA firms’ data for reseller use would incur a total cost of £11,125: £100 payable to SDM and £11,025 payable to the FCA.

All prices are annual charges and exclude VAT.
