What's in these terms?
These terms set out the rules which apply to any organisation (or as relevant, any individual user associated with that organisation) (“You”) using each of the following websites and the systems available at those websites, namely: myfca.fca.org.uk (My FCA), regdata.fca.org.uk (RegData), connect.fca.org.uk (Connect), or fees.fca.org.uk (Online Invoicing System) (together Our “Online Systems”).
Who we are and how to contact us
The Online Systems are operated by the Financial Conduct Authority or its authorised third parties (“We”, “Our”, “Us”).
The Financial Conduct Authority is registered in England and Wales under company number 01920623 and has its registered office at 12 Endeavour Square, London, England, E20 1JN (“FCA”).

By using the Online Systems You accept these terms
By continuing to use Our Online Systems, You confirm that You accept these terms and that You agree to comply with them.
If You do not agree to these terms, You must not use the Online Systems.
There are other terms that apply to You
These additional terms apply to Your use of the Online Systems:
- Our Privacy Policy, which explains how We collect, use and store Your personal data.
- Applicable cookie policies or notices, which set out information about the cookies on the Online Systems and can be accessed here:
- Any service specific Online Systems terms available on that Online System or as set out in these terms.
We may make changes to these terms
We may amend these terms from time to time. Every time You wish to use the Online Systems, please check these terms to ensure You understand the terms that apply at that time.
You must keep Your account details safe
If You choose, or You are provided with a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of Our security procedures, You must treat that information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.
We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by You or allocated by Us, at any time, if in Our reasonable opinion You have failed to comply with any of these terms.
If You know or suspect that anyone other than You knows Your user identification code or password, You must promptly notify Us using Our Contact Us page.
Copyright notice
We (or our licensors) own the copyright and any other rights in all material on the Online Systems other than any Parliamentary material, third party stock images (such as photographs) and other material as indicated.
Any content You upload to or file on the Online Systems will be considered confidential where appropriate. You retain all of Your ownership rights in Your content. We will treat all confidential information appropriately and only use it for the purposes for which it is provided.
Any rights not expressly granted in these terms are reserved.
Any re-use of material on the Online Systems otherwise than as explicitly permitted in this copyright notice is prohibited unless prior written permission to the re-use has been obtained from Us.
You must not use data from the Online Systems to provide a data feed to any comparison table or any other website without Our written permission.
Disclaimer
We take all reasonable steps to ensure that the information on the Online Systems is correct, but We do not give any express or implied warranty as to its accuracy.
We are not liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business or loss of profits) arising in contract, tort or otherwise from the use of or inability to use the Online Systems, or any material contained in it, or from any action or decision taken as a result of using the Online Systems or any material contained in it.
Parts of the Online Systems may contain material sent to Us by third parties. We are not responsible for any error, omission or inaccuracy in this material.
We will try to ensure that the Online Systems are available within the operating hours of the relevant Online System. We will not be liable if, for any reason, the Online Systems are unavailable for any period of time.
Access to the Online Systems may be suspended temporarily or permanently and without notice.
We may update and change the Online Systems from time to time without notice.
You will not:
- (i) violate the security of the Online Systems or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Online Systems, data, materials, information, computer systems or networks connected to any server associated with the Online Systems, through hacking, password mining or any other means;
- (ii) take or attempt any action that, in Our sole discretion, imposes or may impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large burden on the Online Systems or its infrastructure;
- (iii) use or attempt to use any “scraper,” “robot,” “bot,” “spider,” “data mining,” “computer code,” or any other automated device, program, tool, algorithm, process or methodology to access, acquire, copy, or monitor any portion of the Online Systems, any data or content found on or accessed through the Online Systems without Our prior written consent
- (iv) forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any content;
- (v) knowingly introduce viruses, Trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful; or
- (vi) reverse engineer any content on the Online Systems.
You are also responsible for ensuring that all individuals associated with You and who access the Online Systems are aware of these terms, and that they comply with them.
We do not guarantee that the Online Systems will be secure or free from bugs or viruses.
You are responsible for configuring Your information technology, computer programs and platform to access the Online Systems. You should use Your own virus protection software.
We are not responsible for any third parties We link to on the Online Systems. Any links provided by third parties should not be interpreted as approval by Us of those linked websites or information You may obtain from them. We are not responsible for the operation of any third party links.
You may use the material and documents contained in the Online Systems for any lawful purpose not otherwise excluded by these terms and conditions.
You may not, for the avoidance of doubt, use the Financial Conduct Authority’s name, logo or any other identifying mark, or that of any other organisation associated with the Online Systems for any purpose.
Uploading content to the Online Systems
Your use of the Online Systems may require that You upload material (an “Upload”).
An Upload must:
- be accurate and up to date;
- comply with the law applicable in the UK and in any country from which it is posted;
- not infringe any intellectual property or other proprietary rights; and
- not contain content that could be construed as distasteful, offensive or controversial.
You warrant that any Upload complies with these terms, and You are liable to Us and indemnify Us for any breach of this warranty. This means You will be responsible for any loss or damage We suffer as a result of Your failure to ensure Your Upload complies with these terms.
If You wish to contact Us in relation to content You have uploaded to the Online Systems and that We have taken down, please contact Us using our Contact Us page.
Breach of these terms
If We consider that a breach of these terms has occurred, We may take any action We deem appropriate including the following actions:
- immediate, temporary or permanent removal of any information uploaded by You to the Online Systems;
- suspension of Your access to the Online Systems;
- any necessary legal action against You; and
- disclosure of any information to law enforcement authorities as We reasonably feel is necessary or as required by law.
We exclude all liability for any action We may take in response to breaches of these terms, to the extent permitted by law. The actions We may take are not limited to those described above, and We may take any other action We reasonably deem appropriate.
How We may use Your personal information
We will only use Your personal information as set out in Our privacy policy.
Which country's laws apply to any disputes?
These terms, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) and use of the Online Systems are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Conflict of terms
To the extent these terms conflict with any service specific Online System’s terms, the service specific Online System terms take precedent.
Service specific Online Invoicing System terms
This section sets out the rules that apply in addition to these terms when using Online Invoicing System.
You agree to submit fee tariff data through Online Invoicing System (including providing additional detailed explanations for year-on-year variances where prompted) when requested by Us. In doing so, You confirm that the information:
- is correct as required under Our FCA Handbook of rules and guidance; and
- has been reviewed and approved by an individual at the appropriate level of seniority, such as a compliance director, prior to submission.
You understand that the information You provide will be used in the calculation of Your organisation’s annual fees & levies.
You agree to log onto Online Invoicing System when We email You to inform You that new transactions have been raised against Your account (unless You have opted to received pdf copies of invoices attached to email notifications) or when requested to submit fee tariff data online.
If You are unable to use Online Invoicing System, or access any material contained in it, You are still obliged to:
- settle all invoices raised against You by the due date;
- pay any later payment surcharges or any other charges incurred if You settle the invoice after the due date set by Us;
- submit fee tariff data when requested by Us by obtaining a paper return and emailing it to Us; and
- pay a late reporting administration fee if You do not submit fee tariff data by the due date set by Us.
